Welcome H2O manWelcome to our new home on the web. Ray Merle is building a new site full of info for our golfers. George Waterman is now on board as an editor and promissing some good stuff. Never Hook/Slice AgainFor years it was taught that taller golfers should swing the club more upright and that shorter players should swing the club more around or on a flatter plane. While this advice may have some merit, there are many examples of tour professionals whose physiques contradict this philosophy. What all good ball-strikers have in common is an ability to return the club back down to the ball on a plane that matches the original shaft angle. Although ball flight is not directly influenced by your backswing, the closer the club swings up and down on a similar arc, the more the margin for consistency increases. In order to achieve the most efficient plane for your swing, you must understand the different phases of the swing that influence your swing plane. |
